Are you passionate about the child’s right to play?
We’re looking for dozens of dedicated volunteers for the 20th IPA Triennial World Conference in Calgary! The event will take place from September 13-16, 2017 at the Telus Convention Centre.
This is a unique opportunity to support this once in a lifetime conference which brings together dedicated play researchers, practitioners and advocates from around the world.

Opportunities Available
Here’s an overview of the current volunteer opportunities available:
Roles: There are three primary volunteer roles:
- Conference Support (registration, delegate support, crowd control)
- Special Event Support (setting up games and activities, food and beverage)
- Exhibitor Fair Support (setting up and taking down, transporting supplies)
Duration: Half and full day opportunities available
Age Requirements: Must be at least 18 years at time of application
Required Skills: Strong communication skills, customer service, knowledge of Calgary, experience with special events and/or conferences. Please note: *Preference will be given to individuals who have experience in the field of play.
Applicable interests: Play provision, playwork, early child care, social work, research, design planning, health, play therapy, recreation, children’s rights, psychology, architecture, play policy, parks and community services
