Welcome to Calgary!  Please join us to celebrate the conference kick-off western style at our Stampede Breakfast. Enjoy your syrup covered pancakes and sausage, western-style games, and kick up your heels as you line dance to country music. All dietary needs have been considered and the conference registration tents will be onsite.  Breakfast is served at 7:30 a.m.

 

Wild Wednesday Evening Extravaganza
Day 1 – Wednesday, September 13, 2017

Telus Convention Centre

Get to know your fellow delegates while having fun, fun and more fun!

Join us at the Telus Convention Centre for an evening of high energy games, carnival styled activities, entertainment and a surprise feature.

Enjoy your favourite carnival style snacks and share your creativity as we build one of the biggest indoor forts in Canada.  We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Unleash the Celebration Event
Day 4 – Saturday, September 16
6:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Telus Spark

Note: Buses traveling to Telus Spark will depart from Olympic Plaza beginning at 6:30 p.m. Please look for IPA volunteers to assist you.

Join us for an exciting evening at Telus Spark to celebrate the importance of play and enjoy some Canadian traditions. Please dress in your fanciest, casual red and white and be prepared to have some fun. Enjoy cocktails, snack and live entertainment and playful exhibitory throughout the night. Pre-registration is required.

There are two ways to purchase your ticket to Unleash the Celebration Event:

  1. Purchase a ticket as part of your conference registration.
  2. There will be a limited amount of tickets available for purchase onsite at the conference.

 

Guest Program

Each day during the conference, there will be a daily destination. Just sign-up at the conference and go with a local volunteer and other conference families.  These trips will be informal and quite inexpensive. Please note that you will need to pay your own way (public transportation, admission, food, etc.).

Each conference day, there will also be free play events downtown, and a huge Play Event finale.  The IPA conference is also at the same time as Beakerhead, a celebration of arts, sciences, and engineering.
